Alfa Medicus Meets Chief Minister of Penang Ahead of Aptus Surgery & Specialists Centre Launch
Singapore, 7 November 2025 – Alfa Medicus had the privilege of meeting the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Chow Kon Yeow, this morning at his office in Komtar, together with representatives from Belleview Group. The discussion marked an important step forward as we prepare to open the Aptus Surgery & Specialists Centre on Burma Road in early January.
The centre will bring a proven ambulatory surgery playbook from Singapore to Penang, led by our Founder, Executive Chairman and CEO, Penang-born Prof Dr Lim Beng Hai. Aptus Surgery & Specialists Centre will offer day surgery services supported by a range of specialist clinics and modern diagnostic facilities, designed to give patients access to safe, efficient and coordinated care in a seamless environment.
The meeting was also attended by Datuk Seri Sonny Ho, Managing Director of Belleview Group; Grace Ho Chia Hui, Director of Belleview Group; Tricia Yap, Chief Operating Officer of Alfa Medicus; Dr Matthew Mohan, CEO of Aptus Penang; and Koay Theam Hock, Director of BDO Malaysia.
The Chief Minister expressed support for the centre’s role in strengthening Penang’s position in regional medical tourism and contributing to the state’s growing healthcare landscape.
As we move toward the official opening, Alfa Medicus looks forward to working closely with partners and the community to deliver high-quality, specialist-driven care in Penang.
